Still unsure as to why the Ranger is more expensive than the F-150.

Starting price is here in Canada. $900 more expensive for a base Ranger than a base F-150. And so far, the Rangers local dealers have been stocking have all been over $50k.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a base model F150 in real life, this generation at least. Not even in fleet sales.

And odds are great we’ll also never see base model Rangers.

Does the Canadian ranger even go that “base” in CA. In the US I feel like the basest F-150 is a single cab short box 2wd. Where the ranger starts with a double cab

There’s no single cab Ranger? So the base Ranger is not as base as the F-150.

Not sure about the f150 but trying to find a single cab, base work truck with v8 and 4wd can be a unicorn.

I’m pretty sure they just made WAAAAAAAAY too many in 2004, and they’ve just been updating the VINs of the overstock every year.

Idk about that V8 requirement. Pretty sure as a fleet buyer if your going that “low end” you’d be looking for the cheapest option period, which would be the base V6

They were going to redesign it but Carlos thought he better give himself a raise instead.
